Spanish Science

The science program developed by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. aims to foster the development of scientific and technological ties between Spain and the United States, as well as promoting knowledge of Spanish Science.

These objectives are pursued through several lines of work:

1. Encouraging cooperation between Spanish and American scientific institutions, both private and public.
2. Supporting Spanish scientists in the U.S. and their networks —especially the non-profit organization Spanish Scientists in USA (ECUSA)— helping them to carry out their activities and maintain their connections with the Spanish Science and Innovation Ecosystem.
3. Highlighting the role of women in Science with the goal of advancing a stronger participation of young women in the fields of science and technology.
4. Increasing the visibility of Spanish Science achievements.
