Spotlight on Contemporary Spanish Theater
Supporting and producing Contemporary Spanish theater in English and Spanish:
- Fostering and creating new opportunities to promote Spanish contemporary dramaturgy
- Boosting new productions of plays in English by Spanish playwrights in the US
- Encouraging the translation of Spanish contemporary plays
- Supporting the participation of Spanish theater professionals in US theater companies
- Introducing Spanish directors and theater companies to US audiences
Classical Spanish Theater
Supporting Spanish Golden Age theater:
- Promoting an expanded vision of the Spanish Golden Age
- Encouraging new adapted translations of classical Spanish plays
- Boosting new professional opportunities for US actors to acquire skills and knowledge to understand and perform classical Spanish texts

La Revoltosa at GALA Hispanic Theatre
GALA Hispanic Theatre opens its season 22-23 with a production of a contemporary version of the Spanish classic “La Revoltosa.”
