Water: The Mirror of Life at Fair Water

This new photo exhibition shows how projects focused on providing water and sanitation services can impact local communities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This exhibition shows the results of the Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation, the unwavering commitment of the Spanish Cooperation in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank to make effective the SDG 6 in the Latin America and the Caribbean region. The Fund promotes the transformation of the water and sanitation sector in the region by supporting the countries in the implementation of their development agendas.

Through photographic testimonies, the exhibition shows how different development projects aim to provide water and sanitation services to the most vulnerable population in the region, prioritizing rural and peri-urban areas, and focusing on the construction of infrastructure and development of efficient, transparent management schemes, as well as strengthening community institutions and structures. The exhibit also documents the goals to empower women and local communities, and provide access to safe drinking water and sanitation to all.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the exhibition during all the events of Fair Water: A Right of All program.
