open [OUT]doors
The Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain in Washington, DC opens its (out)doors to let you enjoy the art installations in the exterior of the beaux arts mansion.
Since the pandemic began, the Cultural Office of the Spanish Embassy in Washington, D.C. has not stopped working to deliver the best of Spanish culture directly to your home with an online program covering all disciplines and all tastes. During this period, the building and the gardens have been dressed up with open-air exhibitions, interventions on the façade and works visible from the outside.
In addition and on the occasion of the 5th Centennial of the first circumnavigation, visual artist Juanli Carrión has designed a garden with species that are reminiscent of each of the stops on the trip.
The Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain is now preparing for the return of live events and opens its (out)doors to celebrate it! We invite you to visit our latest open-air arts installations including the Around Nature botanical garden with free guided or non-guided visits every weekend in June, starting on Friday, June 11.
