NGA Storytime: Veo Veo by Antonio Rubio and Oscar Villan

The National Gallery of Art presents the children’s book “Veo Veo” by Antonio Rubio and Oscar Villan as part of their kids series “Storytime” in a bilingual-ready session.

The kids reading series Storytime, where children’s stories are read aloud, includes the reading of the story Veo Veo by Spanish writer Antonio Rubio and Spanish illustrator Oscar Villan, both in English and Spanish.

About the artists

Antonio Rubio is a Spanish writer who has always combined his career as a teacher with other activities such as schools libraries presentations or writing his own books. He participates in reading development courses as well as teacher training workshops. He is the director of the Trece Lunas poems collection, and he is the author of numerous books, including the collection From the cradle to the moon, which gathers books such as Aurelio, Colores, Números, La mierlita, El chick of the avellaneda, Musical Almanac, The wings of the AVEcedario and 7 Story Keys.

Óscar Villan (Valladolid, 1972) earned his degree in Fine Arts at the Faculty of Pontevedra. He has many published works such as The white rabbit (National Illustration Award, 1999), ‘A zebra Camila (1999), ‘A contar ovellas (General, 2002), The Snail Remoldiño (Xerais, 2003), Ghosts in the Corridor (Xerais, 2005), Remoldiño Goes to the Fair (Xerais, 2007), Ovella descarreirada (Xerais, 2014 ), Pets (2017), Sing with us. Disco book by Migallas (Premio Gala do Libro Galician, 2017) and The Adventures of Extravaganzza Pérez (Pazo da Cultura 2016, Xerais, 2018).
