Alfonso Padilla at the Shenandoah Conservatory
Guest artist Alfonso Padilla presents a saxophone recital with music for solo saxophone, saxophone duo and saxophone and piano, which includes some Spanish composers such as Juan Marcos or Manuel Castillo.
As part of the music series organized by the Shenandoah Conservatory, Spanish saxophonist Alfonso Padilla has been invited to perform a recital that will include multiple works by Spanish composers. With Charles Roberts on the piano, he will perform some solo pieces as well as some sax-piano and saxophone duo compositions.

Alfonso Padilla is a Spanish saxophonist with a long international career that includes concerts, recitals and master classes in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, France, Denmark, Estonia, Poland, Switzerland, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Argentina, Taiwán, Singapore and the US.
As an eclectic musician, his musical tastes and interests encompass many diverse genres and styles, although his current work is focuses both on the performance of classical and contemporary music, and saxophone teaching.
He is part of many musical groups and projects, such as the Ziryâb Saxophone Quartet, the Duo Icarus (sax and guitar) along with Alberto Plaza, and regularly collaborates with groups and ensembles specializing in performing contemporary music such as Zahir Ensemble or interdisciplinar arts like Alquimia Musicae.
