Carles & Sofia Piano Duo: Goyescas 100 years later

Steinway artists Carles & Sofia piano duo perform the Granados’ Opera in a unique and exclusive version for piano four hands.

The most renowned piano duo in Europe and Steinway artists Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja will perform a brilliant and touching program for piano four hands, with Romantic and Spanish music.

The program will include a selection of the Opera Goyescas by Enric Granados, in the exclusive version for piano four hands commissioned by the duo and to be premiered at Carnegie Hall on the 28th of January 2016, in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the premiere of the Opera at the Metropolitan. The duo will also perform one of their favorite pieces: Ravel’s La Valse.

Carles Lama & Sofia Cabruja are a paragon of artistic talent in the world of classical music and one of the Europe’s most renowned piano duos. Acclaimed by both public and critics alike as two musicians with a great power of communication and an undeniable capacity of moving us to tears, the duo exhibits also a spectacular synchronisation and a very rare mutual understanding.

Always committed to helping with social needs, Carles & Sofia have been honoured with a UNICEF award in recognition of their humanitarian efforts.
