Laia Estruch in St. Augustine, FL

As part of her two week CEAM Artistic Residency at Flagler College, Spanish artist Laia Estruch will offer an artist talk and reception to display her work and ideas.

Thanks to the collaboration between the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum’s (CEAM) Artist Residency at Flagler College and the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C., Barcelona-based artist Laia Estruch has joined the artists-in-residence program in October 2023. Estruch is the second Spanish artist to participate in this residency program, a collaboration that was initiated in 2022.

In keeping with the CEAM Artist Residency’s commitment to provide support to interdisciplinary artists who collaborate with various aspects of St. Augustine’s local community, this partnership with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain aims at connecting the Spanish history of the city of St. Augustine with contemporary Spanish art by providing an emerging Spanish artist with the opportunity to connect and explore with the rich cultural ecosystem of St.Augustine.

As part of the residency, Laia Estruch will engage in two activities next week to share and display her work and ideas:
