Santa Barbara International Film Festival 2024
In its 39th edition, SBIFF presents by “La Estrella Azul” by Javier Macipe and “Joy” by Aner Etxebarria Moral.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) is an annual eleven-day film festival held in Santa Barbara since 1986. It showcases over 200 feature films and shorts from various countries and regions. The festival also features celebrity tributes, industry panels, and education programs.
The festival’s 39th edition, which runs February 7–17, 2024, showcases a feature film and a short film by Spanish directors:
The Blue Star

Set in the nineties, The Blue Star follows a Spanish rock and roll musician who, trying to reconnect with his vocation, travels across South America, where he meets an elderly musician going through hard times.
