Staged Reading Series 2014

The program for this year’s series, coordinated by Rafael Abolafia, will showcase six plays by seven authors from Spain.

AENY – Spanish Artists in New York, with the support of Spain Culture New York–Consulate General of Spain, will present the second edition of the Staged Reading Series, a series of staged readings that will introduce New Yorkers to some of the emerging playwrights from Spain and their most successful plays.

The program for this year’s series, coordinated by Rafael Abolafia, will showcase 6 plays by 7 authors from Spain on Monday, June 16th and Monday, June 23 at IATI Theater.

This second edition includes plays from authors Miguel del Arco and Aitor Tejada (La función por Hacer), Paco Bezerra (Grooming), Marta Buchaca (Litus), Jose Manuel Mora (Mi Alma en Otra Parte), Beatriz Cabur (Ronensbourgh) and Antonio Cesar Moron (Monologuos con Maniqui). One of these titles will be selected subsequently to be developed as a fully staged production in 2015.
