PoetNY Open Mic featuring Marcos de la Fuente

The Spanish poet reads Cortázar, Miller, Salinger and Nietzsche at PoetNY Open Mic.

The Bowery Poetry Club encourages cooperation among artists and cultural workers to develop their works and promote the improvement and advancement of the arts as a changemaking force in society. This time they host Spanish poet Marcos de la Fuente, born in Vigo, who will read Cortázar, Miller, Salinger and Nietzsche.

In 2008, Marcos de la Fuente opened La Fiesta de los Maniquíes with designer Vanesa Alvarez – a club that organizes recitals, concerts and poetic actions, including Festival Kerouac Vigo, now in its 6th year. The Festival floods the streets of Vigo with poetry for three days with poets from all over the world and all types of artistic offerings that include performance, theater, music, and visual arts.

In 2015, Marcos de la Fuente published The Shining Particles that seeks to engage the reader with a humanist message and speaks about revolution, love and vital drive.
