La Intrusa Danza at NYC's 32nd Annual Downtown Dance Festival

The Barcelona-based, cutting-edge La Instrusa dance company will perform Rojo Manso and Delta Victor at this outdoor festival in the heart of downtown New York City.

La Intrusa is a contemporary artistic creation company formed in 1996 by Virginia Garcia and Damian Muñoz, creators and art directors. They create, direct and produce scenic and audiovisual projects.

Their work includes research and multi-disciplinary approaches based on music, video, and other formats. They combine their own creations with choreographic works for other companies, collaborations with well-known theater directors and advertising.

The 32nd Annual Downtown Dance Festival will take place in August 10-15, 2013. This year’s program is comprised of extraordinary domestic and international talents. Performances will showcase brilliant artistry from various nations around the globe, such as La Intrusa Danza (Spain), The Dance We Made (Great Britain) or José Limón Dance Company (New York City).

Performances:

  • On August 12 at 5 pm at City Hall Plaza, by the Brooklyn Bridge.
  • On August 13 at 5 pm at 55 Water Street, an elevated area near Battery Park.
  • On August 14 at 1 pm at Main Stage in Battery Park (show starts at 12 pm).
