'Initium Novum Abstract Exhibition'

A group exhibition featuring works by Spanish artist Javier Infantes.

Javier Infantes was born in Estepona (Málaga), Spain, and lives and works in New York. Infantes understands creativity as a language of experimentation, as a method of investigation and acquisition of knowledge —all of this based on the freedom to create. He is interested in discovering our inner selves, what we are. Perhaps we are what we remember, the artist says. The recollections make us who we are. He sees art as a vehicle of knowledge and not as a mere representation of what surrounds us.

Javier Infantes has been showing his work in art galleries and international art fairs in Europe and also here in the U.S. (in Miami and New York City) for the last two decades, including ArtExpo NY and NY Couture Fashion Week. In addition, his works are part of some art private’s collections in the USA, England and Spain.

Featured artists: Ted Barr, Michael Benevenia, Dor Confino, Sabin Filip, Javier Infantes, Artur Pashkov, Avner Sher, Soyeon Shin and Sandra Vucicevic.
