Organum Choir in New York
The choir performs works from Vivaldi, Manuel de Falla and Angel Feltrer in two separate concerts at St. John Divine Cathedral and at La Nacional.
Organum Choir is a newly-formed youth choir that aims to promote choral practice in the field of education of professional musicians. The choir has participated in the sries organized by the Madrid City Council for Christmas and Easter. Its repertoire includes works a capella, choir and orchestra, and choir with instrumental accompaniment.
The choir consists of a selection of 48 students from Madrid’s Professional Conservatory of Music who study singing and other instrumental specialties. They made their debut on April 5, 2014 in the framework of the Festival of Sacred Music organized by the city of Madrid and since then, they have performed at the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid, La Real Collegiata of San Isidro,La Adrada Church (Ávila), Segorbe Cathedral (Castelló) at the 31st Segorbe Choral Music Festival, in the Villanueva Pavilion of the Royal Botanic Garden of Madrid on the occasion of its 259th anniversary, at the church of San Pedro el Viejo and at the parish of San Juan Evangelista.
