Desde la Tierra by Arcángel

Award-winning Flamenco singer Arcángel presents “Desde la Tierra” at the Colburn School’s Herbert Zipper Hall.

Desde la Tierra

  • Arcángel: singer
  • Macarena López y Felipe Clivio: bailaores
  • Francisco José Gómez: guitarist
  • Lito Mánez: percussionist

Flamenco singer Arcángel has earned a reputation as one of the most respected and innovative cantaores (singers). While his intricate and unique singing is his most tangible trademark, he is also celebrated for composing original works, as well as provocative re-arrangements including his self-titled debut Arcangel, winning the Andalusian Joven Award and the Premio Nacional Flamenco Activo de Ubeda.

With the album Tablao, which was recorded as three portraits of the cities of Madrid, Barcelona, and Sevilla, Arcángel brought together the fundamental history and development of Flamenco. The live performances that followed have won accolades across Europe due to his command of the material.
