Sounds from Spain at SXSW 2016
Spanish bands Agoraphobia, Juan Zelada, Juventud Juché, Los Nastys, Sexy Zebras and The Parrots showcase in SXSW 30th edition.
South by Southwest (SXSW) Musica and Media Conference is the world’s leading event of the music industry. During the day, SXSW ofers attendees the opportunity to explore the future of the music industry through panels, talks and other conference activities at the Austin Convention Center. At night, the absolute best mix of musical performances from over 2,200 regional, national and international acts take place at the SXSW Music Festival.
Integrated by public and private organizations, Sounds from Spain represents the Spanish music industry and strives to present the most outstanding national artists on the international music scene.
This year’s bill features a couple of returning SXSW alumni including all-female rock band Agoraphobia and garage-surf trio The Parrots. Other notable acts include punk band Los Nastys, Latin rockers Juventud Juché, and the rap metal-infused garage-rock sounds of Sexy Zebras. Singer-songwriter Juan Zelada rounds out the bill with a mix of styles from blues to pop.
