Pianist Marta Espinós in concert
This piano performance is part of a year-long international series of concerts celebrating the 80th birthday of Maestro Achúcarro, one of Spain’s greatest classical musicians.
Marta Espinós studied with Joaquín Achúcarro in the Artist Certificate and Masters Programs at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
A native of Valencia, Spain, Marta graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Alicante Oscar Esplá in 2000 with the highest honors, receiving the Chamber Music Degree Special Award. From 2000 to 2004 she was the recipient of a scholarship from the Valencia Music Institute with which she received a postgraduate degree in Piano and Chamber Music from L’Escola de Música de Barcelona, under the direction of Albert Attenelle and Jordi Mora.
The evening’s performance will take place at the Instituto Cervantes Chicago in conjunction with the opening of the Xavier Nuez Exhibition. Open to the public. Get your free tickets.
