El Dorado: Myths of Gold: 09/06 – 5/18/2024; This exhibition at the Americas Society is the first of a two-part group exhibition exploring the legend of El Dorado as a foundational myth of the Americas. It presents artworks by more than sixty artists from the pre-Hispanic period to the contemporary era.

SPAIN arts & culture ON! features long-form digital projects and online exhibitions showcasing acclaimed and emerging authors, artists and performers from Spain:

SPAINfographics: Spainfographics features the work that the diaspora of Spanish infographic designers have developed during the past three decades in the United States. Twelve infographic artists, out of more than two dozen who have lived or worked in the U.S., are featured in this exhibition showcasing various skills with the goal to tell a visual story to the visitor on the topic Spain in the United States.

DC.es | A gaze at Washington, DC by five Spanish photographers: DC.es has been conceived as a project where five Spanish photographers, all of them fellows from the Spanish Academy in Rome, share their gazes of Washington through their lenses — gazes as personal, singular, and unique as the city itself.

Not Only What, But Also How: Not Only What, But Also How offers a review of each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals conducted by Spanish artists and organizations that will provide the opportunity to take a closer look at the 2030 Agenda.

Around Pollinators: Around Pollinators raises a reflection on the fundamental role of native biotopes in generating resilience in the face of the serious threat of climate change. With this purpose in mind, environmental Spanish artist Lucía Loren proposes the creation of a garden of native plants that seeks to attract and feed local populations of fauna, improving their habitats, air quality and biodiversity.

50 fotografías con historia: 50 fotografías con historia takes a look at the last eighty years of this discipline in Spain through its key participants: 50 images. Each of the selected photographs reflects an era, a way of understanding photography and, of course, its corresponding social and human burden.

Transformando lo físico: How can you describe a building without ever having seen it, without having walked through its doors? Transforming the physical environment has asked 12 Spanish creators to define our building without visiting it first, at least not in the traditional sense. To do this, the artists will work on the intervention of a photograph of the façade of the building which will be placed in the garden.

Around Nature: On the occasion of the 5th Centenary of the first trip around the world, accomplished by Juan Sebastian Elcano and Fernando de Magallanes, Spanish artist Juanli Carrión designs a garden commissioned by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain that explores the socio-botanical consequences of the Magellan-Elcano expedition.

Teatro para dar la vuelta al mundo: Theater to circumnavigate the world features three emerging Spanish playwrights who create new short plays on the occasion of the 5th Centenary of the first trip around the world.
