TorcuArt 's Round Table II: Manuel de Falla
TorcuArt has invited three guest experts to discuss the mutual influence between Falla’s music and Flamenco.
TorcuArt is a non-profit organization that was established in 2020 to promote classical Flamenco and Spanish Guitar and associated disciplines, including dance, song, poetry and visual arts, in the United States by organizing performances, conferences, workshops and other activities that bring together artists, students and the general public.
In this second Round Table, conductor Ángel Gil-Ordóñez, music director José-Luis Novo, and director Trinidad Pardo Ballester will discuss the mutually reinforcing influences between the art of Flamenco and Manuel de Falla, one of the most universal composers in the history of Spanish music.
At the end of the discussion, the audience will also be able to listen to Carlos Cesar Rodriguez at the piano, performing some Manuel de Falla masterpieces.
