Tapas Tour DC 2024

This summer, the inaugural “Tapas Tour” will provide a gastronomic experience to discover Spanish restaurants in the DMV area and the culinary diversity of Spain.

Tapas Tour 2024 starts on the International Day of the Tapa, June 16th, and proposes a gastronomic experience to discover the Spanish restaurants in the DMV area, with the aim to promote both Spanish gastronomy and the local restaurants that offer it.

The tour includes a contest between participating restaurants in which the audience will be able to vote for the best tapa of 2024 (see voting conditions at the end), which will be revealed in the Tapas Fest 2024, a cultural event to celebrate Spain’s great products and cuisine.

Voting conditions

To obtain the right to vote for the best tapa, the consumer must have visited and consumed at least 5 tapas (for a fixed price of $10) from 5 different participating restaurants, one from each color area (purple, orange, green). Once the card is complete, participants must present it to the Cultural Office either in person (2801 16th St NW Washington, DC 20002) or by email ([email protected]).

Cards will be collected starting August 1st, and will not be accepted before that date. The first 75 people to deliver the complete card with the minimum number of restaurants stamped will have the right to attend Tapas Fest 2024 with a plus one (if the card is sent by email, the original will need to be handed at the entrance at the Tapas Fest; no card means no entrance.) Each restaurant has a different color for the stamp, so don’t be tempted to cheat!
