Sephardic Journeys: Music of the Spanish Jews

A concert of Sephardic music celebrating the legacy of the Spanish Jews and featuring middle eastern instruments.

The concert explores the musical life and legacy of the Spanish Jews through an exciting program of Sephardic music spanning from Andalusia to the Middle East, from the past to the present. Featuring Cantor Matthew Klein, Sephardic cantor Ramón Tasat, and the William & Mary Middle Eastern Music Ensemble.

Established in 1994, the Middle Eastern Music Ensemble welcomes students, faculty, and community musicians who are interested in exploring the styles and repertoires of Arab, Turkish, Persian, Armenian, and Greek musical traditions that comprise the music of the Middle Eastern.
