“I am so excited to bring our first-ever dance show for the very young to Imagination Stage. This show, conceived and written by the Mons Dansa Dance Theatre Company of Barcelona is filled with such joy and humor,” says Director Kathryn Chase Bryer. “Our collaboration with them last year was magical, and after working with these international artists, I am thrilled to be able to bring the American version of this story to life. I am constantly amazed at how Paper Dreams can communicate so much through simple movement and humorous gesture, and I know our audience will be fascinated with the creative props, set, and costumes!”
Paper Dreams features both new and familiar faces to Imagination Stage audiences. Anna Lynch returns to Imagination Stage to perform in Paper Dreams after she understudied Boxes, Boxes, Boxes! and Inside Out. Sara Herrera is excited to make her Imagination Stage debut. Sara is the Artistic Director and Founder of ArasDance, the Petworth Dance series, and the Petworth Arts Collaborative, and has performed with GALA Hispanic Theatre.
