My Voice / Mi Voz by José Fragoso

As part of 2018 Kids Euro Festival, Spanish author and illustrator José Fragoso presents his bilingual children’s book, followed by an illustration workshop.
Spanish author and illustrator José Fragoso presents My Voice / Mi Voz, a dual children’s book about something that you can use to tell stories, make others laugh, sing or call your friends, but mainly to say what you think and to be who you are. Published in the U.S. by Green Seeds Publishing, it was chosen one of the best ten books of the 2018 Madrid Book Fair by Spanish national newspaper El País, and includes a special introduction by the Major of Madrid Manuela Carmena.
Fragoso will also give a lecture for all ages about visual storytelling and the use of illustration in every stage of our life, using examples from the books by Maurice Sendak or Dr. Seuss to the covers and cartoons of The New Yorker. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to communicate and make people feel things through illustration in a workshop.
