Maestro Soler: A Homage to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Maestro Soler presents a guitar recital in honor of the 400th anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.

Francesc de Paula Soler was born into a well-known Spanish artistic family. He started his musical and piano studies at the age of 6. At 11, he began to study guitar and received the highest honors at the prestigious Conservatorio Superior de Música of Barcelona, Spain.

He continued his postgraduate work with Andrés Segovia and also received guitar orientations from Narciso Yepes in addition to the most important Latin American guitarists. Some well-known composers have written guitar works and concerts for him. He has been featured on several radio and TV programs in both Europe and the United States.
