The Department of Modern and Classical Languages of George Mason University presents the “Spanish Film Festival” running Sept. 7-Nov. 2 and screening 5 contemporary films in Spanish language from around the world.

The Spanish Film Festival presented by George Mason University runs from September 7 until November 2, closing with the Spanish film Inner Borderlines. The festival presents five different films in Spanish language from five different Spanish-speaking countries: Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, and Spain.

Inner Borderlines – Visions of America Through the Eyes of Alejandro Morales

  • On Wednesday, November 2 at 5 pm.
  • Directed by Luis Mancha, Spain, 2014, 72 minutes.
  • In English with Spanish subtitles. Watch trailer.
  • Introductory conference by Prof. Vivancos-Pérez.

This documentary follows Chicano writer Alejandro Morales around Southern California as he explores Spanish heritage in the United States and a variety of topics, including history, immigration, race relations, education, gender, border, and borderlands.
