Caradusanto ft. Dystaron at the Spanish Cultural Center

Spanish experimental artist Caradusanto will join American trio Dystaron for an evening of experimental synthesizer music.
This concert will showcase the experimental sounds of D.C.’s Dystaron and Spain’s Caradusanto, blending sonic exploration and atmospheric soundscapes that reflect the urban culture of both countries.
A projection of the winning photos from the Skateboarding Demonstration and Staf Magazine Photography Competition on April 6 will precede the performance.
Dystaron
Dystaron is a trio that combines elements of post-hardcore, synthwave, and ambient music. The band consists of Jason Hamacher (Frodus, CombatWoundedVeteran, Battery), Billy Hunt (Buck Gooter), and Dave NeSmith (Men’s Recovery Project, Sleepytime Trio, Rah Bras). Their music features a blend of intense and atmospheric soundscapes.
Caradusanto
Caradusanto is an experimental electronic artist from Malaga, Spain, who delves into external emotions through a constant sonic exploration. His work blends hypnotic beats, ambient drones, and repetitive vocal poetry, creating immersive soundscapes that evolve from gentle beginnings to chaotic crescendos. Utilizing a modular synthesizer system, Caradusanto crafts organic, ephemeral compositions that capture the fleeting nature of emotions and experiences. His discography includes the 2023 album Hablamos Contigo en los Cielos, showcasing his signature fusion of ambient, electronic, and experimental sounds.
Coinciding with this performance, the new outdoor exhibition The Spotlight by FotoColectania Foundation will be on view on the fence of the Spanish Cultural Center starting April 7, 2025.
