De paso by Casa Patas U.S. Tour in Washington, D.C.

Sarasota, Miami, Washington, D.C., Walla Walla, Seattle, and Chicago are the selected cities that host the 15th Flamenco tour of Fundación Casa Patas, postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Fundación Casa Patas is a non-profit organization that, despite the circumstances, has a wider international projection than before. After fifteen years spreading Flamenco across the four continents, Casa Patas closes 2021 with De Paso, directed by bailaora Sara Pérez and accompanied by Rubén Puertas, Jaime González, Alejandro Moreno, Cristina Soler, and Ana Polanco. In this new tour, starting October 28 and running until November 22, Casa Patas will continue to be present at The Ringling, Miami Dade County Auditorium, Gala Theatre, Gesa Power, and the Auditorium of the Chicago Instituto Cervantes as well.

“The wonders of the unknown, the fear of failure, the pleasure of sharing the journey in which we live, through images that we construct with our bodies and our senses, images that give way to dance and to music as the only language in which we find and understand ourselves, no matter where the road on this journey might take us. Inspired by the verses of the popular flamenco cante(song), De Paso is a performance that is about the road that we take on our journey through the world; it is about the points of encounter where different lives, temperaments and feelings interrelate.” (Fundación Casa Patas)
