The 2025 edition of “Filmfest DC” screens more than 60 films from 36 countries, including the Spanish feature “Babies Don’t Come With Instructions.”
Filmfest DC is Washington, D.C.’s largest and longest-running international film festival. Held annually, it presents over 80 films from around the world, showcasing a dynamic mix of documentaries, narratives, and shorts across a wide range of topics and genres.
The 2025 edition, taking place from April 24 to May 4, features a carefully curated selection of international films that showcase diverse voices and perspectives, fostering dialogue and understanding among audiences.

Aday is a carefree womanizer living a hedonistic and self-centered life in a small coastal town in the Canary Islands. His world changes dramatically when a woman from a brief, casual affair arrives, drops off their daughter, and leaves him responsible for the girl. Initially, Aday plans to return her to her mother, but his attempts fail. As he is forced to raise his daughter, he gradually learns how to be a father, and his values and priorities shift in unexpected ways. Years pass filled with happiness until the mother reappears, intending to reclaim her daughter.
