4th edition of Authentic Flamenco by the Royal Opera of Madrid in Tucson

The Royal Opera of Madrid, Spain’s major performing arts institution, returns to Tucson with the 4th edition of “Authentic Flamenco,” a traditional Spanish flamenco show with award-winning artist Ángeles Gabaldón.
After successful shows in various cities across North and South America, Authentic Flamenco is back for its fourth U.S. tour, stopping in multiple cities nationwide. On this international tour, the Royal Opera of Madrid presents a program featuring established Flamenco artists and young promises, reaffirming the institution’s dedication to promoting and safeguarding the Flamenco legacy, emphasizing its three core disciplines of singing, guitar playing, and dancing.
Ángeles Gabaldón
Born in Seville in 1974, Gabaldón is a dancer with a foundation in Spanish Dance and Classical Ballet who found her true calling in flamenco. She trained under renowned maestros such as Matilde Coral, Manolo Marín, Manolete, Javier Latorre, and Eva La Yerbabuena, all while performing in Seville’s most renowned flamenco tablaos.
