One of the most dazzling Flamenco guitarists of his generation, Vicente Amigo has been heralded as the “Sultan of Duende.” Winner of a 2017 Latin Grammy, the Spanish-born composer and virtuoso began working professionally as a teen, and in 1993, the same year he released his debut album, was awarded Best Flamenco Guitarist by Guitar Player magazine. Lauded by the late maestro Paco de Lucía as the next great Flamenco star, Amigo’s shows are famed for their transporting power.
Amigo’s recording career has spanned over 30 years, releasing eight albums, and has sold hundreds of thousands of units worldwide. A musician’s musician, Pat Metheny called him “The greatest guitarist alive.”
