Spanish Cinema Now + 2024 in Puerto Rico

“Spanish Cinema Now +” brings the best of recent Spanish cinema to Puerto Rico through the hand of the European film series “Cine Pasaje.”

This year, SCN+ and Cine Pasaje present a selection of contemporary Spanish films that highlight the diversity and creativity of Spanish storytelling.

Spanish Cinema Now + presents a showcase of films that reflects the breadth of styles and talents at work in Spain today, including both established auteurs and emerging filmmakers from the international festival scene.

The Cine Pasaje program presents a series of European films at universities across Puerto Rico. This annual initiative continues the community and educational mission of the Festival de Cine Europeo de Puerto Rico. It highlights the richness of European cinema by featuring a curated selection of films across various genres and themes. Each free screening will include discussions and analyses, fostering dialogue about the cultural contexts and artistic styles depicted in the films.

Together, these programs offer a unique opportunity to explore the depth of European cinema, engage with fellow attendees, and enhance the understanding of cinematic arts.
