Sonoma International Film Festival 2025

“The Sonoma International Film Festival” arrives with its 28th edition, screening four Spanish films and offering a mix of film, food, wine, and entertainment in Sonoma Valley.

The Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the best in independent film and filmmakers from around the world, and introducing the power of film to student filmmakers. Blending a program of international film, food, wine and fun, SIFF hosts its annual festival each March, as well as special events such as SIFF Summerfest, selected films, advance screenings and special guests year-round.

This year’s festival offers a mix of genres, including narratives, documentaries, avant-garde shorts, and animated films — including 4 films from Spain:

The Other Way Around

  • On Wednesday, March 19 at 7 pm. At Andrew Hall at Sonoma Community Center.
  • On Thursday, March 20 at 10 am. At Andrew Hall at Sonoma Community Center.

In this unconventional anti-rom-com, a couple throws a celebration for their separation before they break up, leaving friends and family bewildered, amused, and maybe even inspired.

Sandwich Cat

This short film shows how David lives alone with his kitty, Sandwich Cat.It seemed like an ordinary day, but an unexpected visit will lead him to a crucial reflection to humanity.

The Night Inside

Belén, a young nurse, wakes up after being attacked. She is accused of ending the life of a child after giving him medicine. But she claims she injected the right medication and that she can prove it.

A Senegalese immigrant hides in the shed of an Andalusian manor house. From there he watches the daily life and the dynamics between the lady of the house, Carmina, and her young maid. One day she is discovered by Carmina, and some time later by the maid, but both hide it from each other, until an unforeseen event uncovers the secret.
