EFE Dialogues: Latin America, the everlasting promise

“EFE Dialogues” aim to create spaces for debate in the Americas for policymakers, experts, and journalists under the auspices of Agencia EFE.

Latin America is still going through a cycle of economic uncertainty, political upheaval, and complex geopolitical alliances. The long-time promise of a strong, inclusive, and stable region moves forward through ups and downs. However, there are bright spots of optimism such as a rise in innovation, sustainable and inclusive economic policies, long-term investments, and a more pragmatic relationship with strategic partners such as the United States.

This talk, in collaboration with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., will tackle these complex perspectives.

Speakers

  • Juan González: National Security Council Senior Director for the Western Hemisphere, White House.
  • Ilan Goldfajn: President of the Inter-American Development Bank.
  • Cynthia Arson: Senior Fellow, Wilson Center Latin American Program.
