Beyond the Single Image: Online Panel Discussion on Photography

This online panel features renowned photographers and experts discussing photography’s evolving role in shaping historical narratives and cultural identities, in conjunction with the exhibition “Beyond the Single Image” in Miami.
Foto Colectania Foundation (Barcelona) and The Margulies Collection at The Warehouse (Miami) present an online panel discussion exploring the evolving role of photography in both national and international contexts. Featuring distinguished photographers such as Joan Fontcuberta, Cristina de Middel, Alec Soth, Adriana López Sanfeliu, alongside experts like David Campany (Creative Director of the International Center of Photography, New York) and Carles Guerra (Curator), the discussion will examine how the medium reflects historical narratives and cultural identities.
This discussion is held in conjunction with the exhibition Beyond the Single Image: Spanish Photography from the Foto Colectania Collection, Barcelona, currently on view at The Margulies Collection at The Warehouse in Miami.
As photography approaches its bicentennial, the exhibition serves as a platform to explore its evolution in Spain from a documentary tool to a collaborative medium that redefines representation and citizenship.
