Valija Diplomática Low Cost

A travelling exhibition curated by Nilo Casares (Madrid) consisting of artworks inside suitcases by artists from 16 countries including Mexico, Sweden, Chile, USA, France, Argentina and the UK.

Valija Diplomática Low Cost is an exhibition project, curated by the Spanish writer and curator Nilo Casares, that reinterprets the decentralized packages distribution network concept (aka diplomatic bag).

The exhibition converts these bags into containers of art, using standard suitcases for traveling in the cabin of a low cost flight company-surely the means of transport used by most of us –as an intervention space.

This exhibition of objects is DIY and of modest budget. It features the works of 16 artists from all five continents, in which the suitcase is the element of continuity between every piece.

Nilo Casares is a curator, writer and art critic devoted to the difusión and promotion of public and digital art.
