Joan Manuel Serrat: Mediterraneo Da Capo in New York
Considered one of the most important figures of modern popular music in both the Spanish and Catalan languages, Catalan singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat goes back on the road to revisit his album “Mediterráneo” (1971).
After almost half a century, Serrat returns to the Mediterranean that he never left. In times of visas, borders and barbed wire, the artist considers that, in addition to being a citizen of the world, he is above all a citizen of that liquid homeland that unites continents, traditions, beliefs and skin colors.
The concert will review the 10 songs of that essential LP that contains jewels like Lucía, Aquellas pequeñas cosas, Pueblo blanco, Barquito de papel and the legendary Mediterráneo, along with the best of its vast repertoire and some new musical surprise.
