In the Shadow of drug trafficking: The Human Side

An event to foster reflection, which will include a performance by Edgar Javier Ulloa-Luján and the music of East Harlem-based Mexican corrido band, Grupo Combinación.

Pervasive violence caused by drug trafficking, the power struggle between drug lords, the impunity, the failure and/or absence of adequate policies, has led to the horror of a few extending throughout the whole of society.

Drug trafficking, one of the most serious and brutal tragedies of our time will be analyzed with the help of Judith Torrea, an award-winning blogger and independent journalist from Ciudad Juárez; Javier Sagredo, the promoter of an innovative report; and Gonzalo Robles, the Secretary of International Cooperation for Development and former government delegate for the National Plan for Drugs in Spain.

An event to foster reflection, which will include a performance by Edgar Javier Ulloa-Luján, from Ciudad Juárez, and the music of El Barrio/East Harlem-based Mexican corrido band, Grupo Combinación. Moderated by Guillermo Fesser.
