Festival de la Palabra 2017 in New York
The 8th edition of the Literature Festival brings readers and writers together in a series of readings, lectures, and workshops to promote the exchange of literature and ideas.
The central topic of the VIII Festival de la Palabra is Shared Stories, a reflection on the cultural relationship between old colonies and colonizing countries. The discussion will focus on how old colonized territories have claimed their independence and have been able to influence the colonizing country’s culture through a constant dialogue.
Several writers from Spain and Latin America will participate: Fernando Aramburu, Jesús Carrasco, Juan Cruz, Alberto Manguel, Jon Lee Anderson, Eduardo Lalo, Miguel Gomes, Ángel Antonio Ruiz Laboy, Giovanna Rivero, Eduardo Lago, Jesús Carrasco, Javier Valcárcel, Miguel Gomes, Ángel Antonio Ruiz Laboy, José Manuel Fajardo and Janette Becerra.
