Cervantes Comedy: Diez Canciones by Javier Cansado

After a thirty-year career, ICNY presents one of the founders of renowned duo Faemino y Cansado in New York for the first time.

Celebrated comedian brings to us a show with equal doses of script and improvisation, which develops a surrealistic vision of the world and goes beyond the temporary. An unclassifiable work, full of wit, humor and double meanings.

Diez Canciones by Javier Cansado is part of the monographic program Cervantes Comedy. The way a text is interpreted is a commentary on culture and artistic sensibility, and it is particularly intense when the word reaches its highest form of expression in live monologue and when the genre is comedy. Cervantes Comedy aims to bring us closer to a variety of topics from the standpoint of humor as another way of thinking about commentary on culture and artistic sensibility, which is particularly intense when the word reaches its highest form of expression in live monologue and when the genre is comedy.
