Can a Line Define? in The Art Gallery at the College of Staten Island

This group exhibition will juxtapose artistic and journalistic approaches discussing the notion of the border, and explore issues related to the recent migration crisis in Europe.

Participating artists

Le Brothers, Ignacio Evangelista (Spain), David Molina Gadea (Spain), Dario Mitidieri, Matej Povše, Chat Travieso, Terri Warpinski, Matic Zorman.

Opening reception

  • On September 21, from 5 pm to 7 pm.
  • In the opening reception you’ll experience a performance by Le Brothers and meet some of the participating artists. You will also have the opportunity to talk with poet Melanie Almeder, who wrote for the catalog, and Matt Bernico, the author of the essay in the catalog.

Gallery talk

  • On September 22, from 3 pm to 4:15 pm.
  • Some of the participating artists and contributors to the exhibition will get together for a panel discussion. Melanie Almeder will read a selection of her poems that she wrote for the catalog.
