12th Annual Cine Latino Film Festival

“Cine Latino” celebrates its 12th year with Spanish and Portuguese films, special guests, and cultural events, featuring both acclaimed and emerging filmmakers.
Cine Latino returns from October 9 to 13 at The Main Cinema for five days of Spanish and Portuguese language films, special guests, fiestas, food trucks, and more. This 12th annual celebration highlights the best of Latin American, US Latinx, and Ibero Cinema. It pays tribute to the rich film industries within the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking diaspora by showcasing the diversity of their people and the beauty of their geographies and cultures through the power of film.
This year features some of the most acclaimed masters of Ibero cinema, including Walter Salles, Icíar Bollaín, and Victor Erice, while also showcasing promising new filmmakers from the region.

Spanish auteur Víctor Erice returns to feature filmmaking after his absence with this personal and discursive reflection on memory, art and the passage of time. Years after his lead actor and best friend, Julio, disappears suddenly from a film shoot, filmmaker Miguel Garay (Manolo Solo) is approached by a TV show profiling this unsolved mystery. This sets in motion a series of encounters from Miguel’s past, including a meeting with Julio’s abandoned daughter.
