The exhibition explores a pivotal moment, in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when American artists and their European counterparts flocked to Spain to capture its scenic charms and seemingly exotic customs.

Celebrating over 400 years of the novel “Don Quixote” by Miguel de Cervantes, Madison Early Music Festival explores the wealth of references to the music, art, and literature that flourished and illuminated Spain during the political rise and fall of the Spanish Habsburg Dynasty.
