Splendor & Passion features 57 paintings from the remarkable collection of Baroque art at the Hispanic Society Museum & Library (HSM&L). This collection is the largest of its kind outside Spain and Latin America, encompassing a wealth of Hispanic art and literature. The exhibition includes rarely seen masterpieces by some of Spain’s most celebrated painters, including El Greco, Diego Velázquez, and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo.
Premiering in Boca Raton before moving to two other venues, Splendor & Passion is curated by Guillaume Kientz, the Director and CEO of HSM&L. An lineup of programs is planned to coincide with the exhibition, which marks the Museum’s 75th Anniversary Season and Boca Raton’s Centenary.
