Spanish Young Music Talents: Ausiàs Parejo in Boca Raton

Spanish guitar player Ausiàs Parejo will perform at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Boca Raton, FL, as part of the “Spanish Young Music Talents” program.

Spanish Young Music Talents (SYMT) is the new program of the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. SYMT has been envisioned to enhance and support Spanish young musicians’ careers, in collaboration with U.S. music schools and universities at a higher level (bachelor and graduate students orchestras), offering them an experience abroad.

SYMT aims to offer young musicians not only a concert or recital in the U.S., but a complete experience with complementary activities such as masterclasses, talks, conferences, etc. to broaden their opportunities and contacts. All visiting musicians are winners of the Juventudes Musicales de España national award and under 33 years old.

With the occasion of the exhibition Splendor & Passion: Baroque Spain and its empire at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. has partnered up with the museum to bring a parallel program that includes the visit of Spanish guitar player Ausiàs Parejo. Parejo will offer a recital to showcase some of the most well-known Spanish pieces for solo guitar.

Ausiàs Parejo

Starting his musical journey at age four under his father, renowned guitarist Rubén Parejo, Ausiàs Parejo has won numerous national and international awards. He has performed on prestigious stages in Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, and Spain. Balancing classical and modern guitar studies, he has refined his skills through masterclasses and released his acclaimed debut CD, Con tanta tenerezza, in 2018.
