Entrelibros 2024

Following the success of its inaugural edition last year, which attracted over 1,600 attendees, the Spanish Literature Festival “Entrelibros” returns to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and promote a love for reading in Spanish among Miami’s youth.
Entrelibros, the Spanish-language literature festival for children, is organized by Imago por las Artes, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering appreciation for art, music, and literature. The four-day festival offers a platform for authors, academics, publishers, and readers. It creates a unique space in Miami for the community to explore and celebrate Spanish literature while discovering the best children’s books in Spanish. The main target audience is families, and all activities are free.
The 2024 edition will feature the participation of 12 independent publishing houses from Spain and Latin America. Thanks to the support of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and its Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture (PICE), Entrelibros will host Lara Meana, a specialist in Children’s and Youth Literature and Reading Mediation, and Rocío Martínez, an author and illustrator of children’s and youth books.
They will participate in the Professional Development program titled Entrelíneas, which is designed for specialists and those interested in Spanish literature for children. They will also take part in the festival’s inaugural program, Cuentos bajo la sombra, as well as in art and creativity workshops for schools.
Throughout the event, children will have the opportunity to enjoy storytelling sessions, book readings, illustration workshops, interactive art projects, and even visit the exhibition. This immersive experience promises entertainment, education, and inspiration, integrating art, music, and literature.
