The Unseen Hours…a salon series by Idoia Rodríguez
As part of its ongoing collaboration with the Spanish Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain, the LA Contemporary Dance Company presents “The Unseen Hours…a salon series,” created by resident Spanish dancer and choreographer Idoia Rodríguez.
The Unseen Hours…a salon series offers a glimpse into the intimate, behind-the-scenes moments of creating new work, highlighting the process of Idoia Rodríguez. Currently in residence with the L.A. Contemporary Dance Company, Rodriguez’s collaboration is part of a continuing partnership with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain.
This is a special opportunity to experience the creative journey up close through a series of open rehearsals during LACDC’s fall residency. You will witness Rodríguez working with the artists as they explore and develop new material.
The Choreographic Residency
The Choreographic Residency, presented by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in collaboration with L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC), offers Spanish choreographers a unique opportunity to work alongside U.S. dance companies.
SPAIN Dances, the dance initiative of the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain, is designed to create professional opportunities for Spanish dancers and choreographers in the United States. The Choreographic Residency fosters artistic exchange between Spanish and American artists, providing a platform for the development of new or ongoing works. Each choreographer is carefully selected by LACDC’s artistic director, Jamila Glass.
