About Javier Perianes
Born in Andalusia, Javier Perianes is one of the most exciting pianists of the current generation. His flourishing international career spans five continents, taking him to some of the world’s most prestigious halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Barbican, Royal Festival and Wigmore Hall in London, the Théatre des Champs Elysées in Paris, Berlin Philharmonie, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
He has performed with conductors such as Barenboim, Dutoit, Mehta, Maazel, Frühbeck de Burgos, Dausgaard, Petrenko, Harding, and Temirkanov, among others, and appeared at festivals such as Lucerne, La Roque d’Anthéron, Grafenegg, San Sebastian, Granada and Ravinia. Recent orchestral debuts include Boston and Chicago Symphony, New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestras, and Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal in North America, and Vienna Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestra in Europe.
In 2012 Javier Perianes received the National Music Prize awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
