10th Festival Cumbre Flamenca

Award-winning dancers Adrián Santana and Águeda Saavedra join guitarist Francisco Vinuesa for a one-night only performance at Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

About Adrián Santana

Adrián Santana was born in Málaga, Spain, to a family of artists, singers, and dancers, and was trained at an early age in both Flamenco and Spanish classical dance. Santana was awarded first prize in choreography at the Málaga Crea competition and 2nd place winner at the XIX Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y Flamenco in Madrid.

He has worked as a featured dancer with some of Spain’s most prestigious artists including José Porcel, Rocío Molina, Antonio Canales, Aída Gómez, María Pagés, Lola Greco, Javier Latorre, Belén Maya, Pastora Galván, Nani Paños, Concha Jareño, Rafael Estévez, Marco Flores, Manuel Liñán, Daniel Doña, and director Carlos Saura.

About Águeda Saavedra

Águeda Saavedra was born in Málaga, Spain. Saavedra won the Ribarroja del Turia contest two years consecutively and received a scholarship in the Antonio Najarro dance company, which gave her the award for best performer. Saavedra transforms her performances into choreographic works of art with rotating twists and arched back positions.

Francisco Vinuesa has shared the stage with artists such as Manuel Linán, José Mercé, Arcángel, Antonia Contreras, Cancanilla, Amparo Heredia ‘La Repompa’, Raquel Heredia, Sergio Aranda, Miguel Infante, Luisa Chicano, David Martin, Kiko Ventura, Chaparro Málaga, and Antonio Soto, among others.
