Award-winning architect and co-founder of estudio.entresitio, María Hurtado de Mendoza is an associate professor in the College of Architecture and Design at New Jersey Institute of Technology.

estudio.entresitio is a Madrid-based architectural office that has extensive building experience with an emphasis on public work that utilizes novel functional solutions without sacrificing creativity or exploration. In 2007, Architectural Record selected the firm as Design Vanguard. Its constructed work has received more than 28 awards and honorable mentions. The firm participated in the 10th and 11th Spanish Biennial, the 7th BIAU, the Barbara Cappochin Biennale, and received the 2012 ArchDaily Healthcare Building of the Year award.
