2019 International Comic Arts Forum

This year International Comic Arts Forum will focus on Spanish, Latin American, and U.S. Latin comics, and will explore the topic of inmigration in comics and cartoonings.

The International Comic Arts Forum (ICAF) is an annual academic conference dedicated to promoting the scholarly study and appreciation of comic art. The 20th annual forum focuses on Spanish, Latin American, and U.S. Latin comics and invites Dr. Ana Merino, Professor of Spanish Creative Writing at the University of Iowa, as keynote speaker on April 4 at 9:15 am.

Spanish comic artist and guest artist Fernando Iglesias “Kohell” (Gorka, Impresiones de la Isla) also speaks at the Festival, on April 6 at 2:45 pm, about immigration in comics and cartooning.
